What the heck is simple green?? I guess I'm one of those living-under-a-rock people. Anyway, I used formula 409 and it seemed to do the trick. My sprayer kept giving me big blobs of bubbles, which was annoying, but I guess I'm happy with how it turned out!!
My ribbon/brad combo looked cuter in my brain... obviously I haven't mastered the whole piercing through ribbon thing...

WOW oh WOW! Your bg is awesome!!! I love your tree images and how they fade off in the distance... How to do that?.... your sky is just wonderful... looks like clouds... just perfect! I can't do brads in ribbon either... it always puckers up. I think you did a great job!
