This is for the DD/DDA September Challenge to use only one layer ( no layers) of cardstock and masking. I used masking and reverse masking for my project. I chose to work with Rubbernecker KK Originals Holiday images, Maurice, Starlight Treasure and Woodland Tree (www.rubbernecker.com).
I cut a circle mask with a Nestabilities dies and covered my Fabriano cardstock. I stamped and masked my images and colored with reinkers and a watercolor brush. I cut a star mask to cover the star on the tree top and sponged blue around the whole sky. I removed the star mask and sponged on mustard ink to create a glow. I got carried away with liquid applique and it overpowered my trees but it is still fun. I added liquid applique to the ground area and applied little dots of it for falling snow. I created a sparkle to the star with Stickles. This was a hard project to photograph but I really like the outcome of my project. The photo just does not do it justice.
