This is my submission for today's Color Challenge - to make a monochromatic card. It is also for the Saturday challenge over at Our Creative Corner which this week was to make a birthday card. http://ourcreativecorner6.blogspot.c...challenge.html
I love using paint samples for monochromatic cards because they already give you different shades of the same color. I used a paint chip that had saffron as the color family. I stamped the flowers onto the paint chip with Versamark and embossed with saffron colored EP that was in a set I got from AC Moore. I did the same with the birthday sentiment. Ribbon and brads finished it off.
Thanks, Emily, for another great color challenge and Dawn, for OCC birthday challenge!

I was about to comment that the upper portion of your card looked like a paint chip and then I read your description! LOL What a great use for that item! The embossed floral images are lovely, and I love that perfect little knot on your ribbon!

Carla, the yellows on this beautiful card are so awesome looking. I love the images, the film strip look to this is genius, the pretty ribbon and dew drops are a great way to finish your card.
