well, it's still a long time before fireworks on the LEFT coast, so I'm posting another patriotic card for the Limited and MotherMarksTeapot challenges! Thanks to Judy and Cindy (I was inspired by the colors in your teapot).
I went right back to the Artistic Outpost 'Hero' set for my image and sentiment. I stamped the Rosie the riveter and Stars and Stripes collage in the same ink as before. TH di fired brick and fades jeans. I cut them apart and rearranged, distressing the edges as I went. They are placed on a background of SU flannel plaid that was inked in TH di old paper. I wanted to use the Happy 4th of July so I found a piece of MM spiral notepaper I had stamped SU's Lexicon of Love celebrate many months ago, just playing around. Well, it was the perfect background for the Happy 4th, don't you think? I used ColorBox black and embossed in clear. distressed the edges. The star banner was created by stamping in the above mentioned colors, embossing with Kaledioscope, cutting and stapling. I stuck the matchbook from a wonderful restaurant/bar in San Antonio (LIBERTY bar)...I had just used up the matches recently and couldn't bear to part with it (PACKRAT that I am...thanks Mimi)
Now I'm gonna go clean up...I smell something from the bar-b-que! Thanks so for looking again...
