Thanks Bensarmom for a great challenge. I couldn't believe it when I got home from a crafty stash shop and looked at the challenge to find it was to use chalks! These are my first chalks and therefore a completely new technique for me. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and have made a really quick card.
I used a linen finish card blank as I thought it would give some texture behind the chalk and I really like the effect. I pounced the background first with a light coffee colour chalk and then stamped the manuscript background with versamark and highlighted with a darker coffee colour chalk. I stamped over this with an Inkadinkadoo vine flower stamp and highlighted this with sage green chalk. I did the same with the sentiment stamp on a piece of card cut with a nestabilities rectangle. There are four little spots of copper stickles in the corners and I finished off with gold polka dot ribbon. I love the chalks which give a nice soft lustre to the card. TFL.

Oh Chris, what a great idea to use a linen cs. Totally spaced that one out. I just love the look of this whole card. Your script....your vine flowers.....and your sentiment. Oh yeah and your ribbon and the stickles in the corners. Neat idea too. You have done a wonderful job with this chalk challenge.!!! Kudos to you my friend. TFS :0)

Chris, your card is fabulous. I love the softness that you've achieve with the chalks and this great image, I also like the way that you chose to display the sentiment. Great work on this beautiful card.
