Thanks for the inspriation, Lori with the Garnet Hill bedding. I loved looking at all the pattern and color of the quilt! In the end, I chose to limit my color palette to the blue/browns.
I knew right away I'd go the inchie route for todays challenge. And Martha S's mail art punch came in handy with my scraps of paper. I stamped Stampers Anonymous artist definitions onto GP white cs (TH di brushed corduroy) embossing in clear. I arranged my little squares of color, texture and pattern as a frame. I added Above the Marks' (I think) fairy to the left side. She is inked with ColorBox peacock gold and embossed in clear. I used the Spicia clear glitter pen on her wings and colored her body and dress with Copics. This panel is mounted onto unknown card stock and distessed. As a finishing touch, I circled the word artist.
So tell me something about what being an artist means to you. And whether you paint with ink, oils, cloth, or yarn or even words...stay in the lines or not...we are all ARTISTS!

I love all your blue patterns and textures and the wonderful way you've framed your definition. Art doesn't come quick or easy for me but is so worth the effort. I admire those who have it living on the tip of their brains and right on the ends of their fingertips.

Susan, this is sooooooooooo beautiful! Love your inchies and distressing.
Let me see....I guess an artist to me is anyone who expresses who they are through their creativity into an art form of their choosing. We have so much beautiful inspiration in every part of our lives to choose from.
This is fabulous, Susan!!! Love the blues and browns together! I never thought of myself as an artist. But I also never doubted that I could create beautiful things...the creator of the universe lives in me...what more do I need!!!
