This is my submission for CC169, Adam's Birthday! I wasn't going to do this one for a couple of reasons... I was soooo busy today, and I was out of Soft Sky. But after dinner tonight I got bit by the bug and decided to try substituting as close as I could. I used bordering blue ... not perfect but hey, at least I tried!
I stamped the house mouse bunny image with Stazzon Saddle Brown, colored with Prisma Pencils and Gamsol. I cut the ovals out with my Nesties, cutting off most of the balloon image, but not all. The strings still showed and the bottoms of the balloons. I stamped again and cut them out, colored with Prisma Pencils, highlighted with SU! ink, and covered with Diamond Glaze for a shine. I ran the BG thru the bug with bordering blue rubbed on the negative side first. I punched the DP with my new Fiscars edge punch (treading water). I ran two score lines 1/8" apart on the top and mounted it so that is extends just that 1/8". I was casing Mothermark's idea on this canopy but mine is much less deep, in hopes it will mail easier. Nowhere near as wonderful as hers.... for sure, but it was my attempt to make a mailable one. Anyhoo... I made a small slit in the bunny's paws and threaded a large needle with brown yarn. I ran that in one slit and out the other, attached to the back of the balloons, then glued on top if the inked string lines. The balloons and canopy are on dimensionals.
Thanks so much for looking! Please don't have me arrested for not keeping the letter of the law on this one... at least I tried! :0)

What a great, happy card! LOVE that background - it really does look like a stone wall. Your coloring is wonderful - it always is to me! Wonderful bunny.

This is just adorable. I love all the color you show in your card with the cb folder inked up and the beautiful coloring of that bunny, but I really think the canopy makes it all just jump right off the page. Love the real yarn that you added. That makes the balloons seem so real as well. I thought the cb bg looked like bubbles he was floating by (maybe extra water in a cloud?) ABSOLUTELY Adorable!!
