This is for a group of us who have a little fun with our challenges. This weeks challenge was to make a RAK card for someone on a list of four names chosen from the RAK forum. I however, recieved special dispensation this week as I had 5 cards to make for raising money for Cancer.
My magolia girl ( especially made for cancer recognition) - has a ribbon that is coloured in lime green.
Sometimes it troubles me that we only ever see pink associated with Cancer - and images of women... because breast cancer/ and women's cancers are but one of the many types on Cancer's that afflict and sometimes kill people.
This is my female version of my non hodgkins lymphoma card - as after all, women get it too.
Lime Green is the colour that represents Lymphoma, a blood cancer which took my dad's life a year ago.. over a period of 2 years.

What a cute image. Love the colors and the dp. You have done a wonderful job on your card to raise awareness for cancer. Great coloring.
It is so nice that you are making cards for such a good cause.

so cute....love the dp. Great card for a great cause. I'm very sorry for your loss of your father. I lost my dad to cancer on Christmas Day 1991. Glad to know about the color of the ribbon.

This is wonderful and so sweet. My DD is going thru chemo for Hodgkin's Lymphoma. I didn't know what color ribbon was for that, so I appreciate the info. I hope the little girl does well in her fight for recovery.

Deborah, sweet girl: Your story is so profound. You not only consistently lift all our spirits with your wonderful comments, but you've also found an ideal forum to teach us about the color lime green. I have to admit I had no idea as to its meaning: Thank you for this important piece of information.
How inspiring you are to me and I'm certain to countless others: Your father is now grinning from side to side just sitting back knowing how wonderful his daughter has managed to educate others about a horrific disease.
Thank you Deborah! Not only am I more informed, but I've also just learned a little more about this beautiful lady who brings joy into our lives with her words here and there for all of us.
Your card is wonderful on so many different levels, my friend. Although there's such creativity you bring to our gallery, there's also a very special woman who cares deeply about things that we all can experience in one way or another!
Peace be you as you continue to work through the loss of your dad, Deborah!

Well, once again you sure made lime green work! A very pretty card in every way. I am sure it will bless all who see it!
Darn it! Snert, you're looking too good for a Brat moniker!

Thank you for sharing your thoughts about the green; that makes a lot of sense. I'm sorry to hear about your loss and hope that your memories are as comforting and lovely as your work.
