Today's way's to use it challenge was to create a masculine card. I always struggle with this. I love glitter and bling. So it was a great challenge for me.
I used a Sutter Stamp today. I have had this stamp forever. I chose this stamp today for a very good reason.
My dad has been a farmer for 52 years. He raised hundreds of heads of cattle. This year the EPA is shutting down his operation. He has a creek behind his property and the cattle have caused too much pollution. With a VERY heavy heart he will be selling them all this summer.
So I dedicate this card to him. He has had unconditional love for these animals his entire life. He has also had unconditional love for me. He is an awesome dad.
I hope using ribbon on a manly card is acceptable. I was inspired by red, white and black from a card I saw in Mothermark's gallery this morning. Go take a look.
Thanks for an awesome challenge.
Thanks also for looking,
Dawn

Oh Dawn, this is perfect for your farmer Dad! I know how heavy that heart will be! My dfil had to give up his farm when a fire destroyed both barns with all the animals inside. It was awful and he was so underinsured he couldn't rebuild. It was the first time I ever saw him cry. It is their lives, and their livlihood for so long... and it's like no other occupation! This will be a wonderful card for your Dad!

First of all, so sorry about your father having to sell what was his life's work...I hope he get along OK. Next, your color choices for this card are so appropriate...black, white, and red...very nicely done and the silver HPH just adds that extra touch. TFS!

Oh, I am so sad for you and your dad. My grandparents were dairy farmers and I absolutely loved their farm. So many wonderful memories. Your card is wonderful and warms my heart.
