Just kidding, I love this set, it's the Metallic Art Pencils I've had for ages and have barely used. Today's Limited Supplies Challenge is to use something you've always wondered why you bought, and haven't used much. I was designing this card for my stamp camp tonight and chose the layout and the colors first, then the rest just evolved. I really wanted to keep the main image on the Basic Gray but wasn't sure how to add color that would show up... enter thoughts of Metallic Art Pencils! I colored the flowers and a border around the top layer with the yellow-ish color, then used the gray-ish one on the leaves on the banana layer. I tried all sorts of layering to add the words, but in the end really just liked the simplicity of the gold embossing. I know the sheer ribbon is retired (I'm still pouting about that) but I just ran out of my basic gray taffeta this week so I couldn't find a nice sophisticated alternative- the wide grosgrain just didn't cut it. The background is stamped with Floral in So Saffron then the leaves in Basic Gray. TFL!
