I had tentatively picked out my stamps and color scheme yesterday, so I was happy when today's sketch challenge worked for Farm Fresh. I always liked this stamp set, reminds my of my parents' hometown in California. It started out as a farming community and this stamp set reminds me of the fruit crate labels. Now if this set had a fruit crate label for oranges, then it really would be Porterville!
I kinda wish I'd used Print Pattern on the Ruby Red card base, but oh well. The camera made the colors a little bit wonky, but it really *is* Ruby Red. Now my grid paper looks like it has chicken pox I stamped the fruit crate label, then masked off just the apples and used a sponge dauber to apply Bordering Blue ink. I figured the leaves and branch would be dark enough that it wouldn't matter if they got some BB ink on 'em, but I wanted the red on the apples to show up clearly.

Very pretty card! Love that stamp set, too! I'm diggin the image and the color scheme! I haven't done the challenge yet, as I'm not feeling all that great today...but I was thinking reds and apples, too. Great minds think alike???
