Thanks Roxie for another great sketch. I have been waiting to use my Shakespeare image, and he made the perfect vertial panel! This card is for a friend who faces a 6 week recovery from recent surgery. I love the quote and wanted to go with blue, reminds me of gentle rain.
My card base is GP cs. I used DP from the Costco stack of Spring 07. Think it was Magnolia/Wild Asparagus paper. I cut out the flowers for dimension. My dark olive mat is also use my stash of unknown paper. I cuttlebuged a scallop and pieced it to fit how narrow I needed it. My paper for the quote is Basic Grey Fruitcake 'Avalanche. It looks like misty rain to me. I stamped both Shakespeare and the sentiment in Archival sepia and embossed the sentiment in clear ep. I popped LOVE on zots.
Seems like men in Shakespeares' day were quite proud of their gams...but I don't know about the bubble pants! What do you thinks?

Oh Susan, such imagination! It's has no end! Yes, I have to agree: Mr. WS looks a little flamboyant, but hey that's all they had to do all day...they strutted their stuff. Love the stamp and how you cut out those flowers. Imagination is such a wonderful gift, and you sure are one gifted and inspired artist.

What do I think of the bubble pants? Well, is he wearing tights, too! GRIN! As for your card, it's very artsy, as is your style, and I love it! Very clever how you used Mr. Shakespeare himself as your vertical panel! I hadn't seen that quote before, and it's lovely! Love how you cut out and popped up the word love, too.
I wish your friend well in her recovery from surgery.
Very nice card, Susan! Great take on this challenge! TFS!

He's magnificent in his fancy pants...I just loved Russell Crowe in Gladiator for the same reason...great legs!! Back to your card...love the Shakespear image...very creative vertical panel, and the quote is awesome. The cut out pattern on the paper is wonderful...great card, it will definitely cheer your friend up!
