Today's Ways To Use It Challenge was to create using flowers. Thank you Lindsey for hosting this terrific challenge!
I chose to try my luck at creating a tole flower. The resource for the technique can be found Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers.
I wanted to get a country french feel to the card, so I found some monet type paper from the Floral Prints matstack from DCWV. Next, I thought stripes were in order so I found some more DP from the same source and some ribbon from Reasonable Ribbons. I watercolored the background of the tole flower layer with an aqua pen. The flower was easier to assemble than I thought it would be. I'm not to sure about using a gem brad for the center though. . . Oh, and I liked yesterday's sketch so much that I used it again! Voila. What fun!
The "Mon Ami" sentiment is inside. The card will be sent to one of my stamping friends who recently moved.
Thanx for looking.
