Ok so she isn't pretty but it works. This was a test run! I'm going to take several of these and store my ribbon by color family/holiday/ect. This is a BIG oatmeal box but I think I'm going to use the smaller ones in the future. This on has about 35'ish holes for ribbon. It holds bunches and doesn't take up much room;-) So for all of you who like saving money on storage items so you can buy more of what matters enjoy!

I would of never thought of that idea. It serves a purpose & also is decorative at the same time. Thank you for sharing it with us. I will have to save my oatmeal container in my pantry & have my parents do the same thing.

Very creative! I've been making my own ribbon storage as well. I have the new Big Bite, so it's opened up a lot of new options for me. I bought several of the plastic bins (shoe storage bins at Wal-mart for a buck), then I did 3 rows of alternating holes punched with the Cropadile II. The canisters are clear so you can easily see how much ribbon there is and they are all stackable.
I think that I will use your Oatmeal Container Idea for my larger rolls of ribbon that are wider. Then I'll make larger slits and store the ribbons stacked so that as I'm pulling the ribbon out of the box it comes right off the roll and won't get tangled.
Hi~
I like your creative oatmeal ribbon storage.
I have a question for you, if you don't mind.
Do you unwind the ribbons from the spools before storing them in the
container?
