Last Saturday I met my son's future in-laws for the first time and they are the most wonderful people. Which should not have been a surprise knowing their wonderful daughter as I do!
I really wanted this to be special for them, but I could not turn this into what I had invisioned.
It lacks umph. I can not for the life of me get my sewing maching to work with c/s. I was trying to stitch the dp to the chocolate chip. I finally gave up on that, tossed it out, recut more dp and c/s and pierced all the holes. I then used the gel pen to create stitching but it was awful. So after hours of trying, I had to give up on that and go with plain and ugly. This is my last bit of this pattern from Basic Grey's Mellow, out of 3 packs of 6x6. ALL of it's in ruins trying to make this one card.
The barn is water colored with a combination of markers and re-inkers utilizing blending pens, paint brushes and my aqua painter.
The Thank You stamp is an old single from one of the Hostess Appreciation sets demos can buy.
The corn brad is by Karen Foster and it come in a pack of 16 which included leaves, pumpkins, acorns and the corn. I never thought I'd have a use for the corn.
The raffia is SU! long ago retired. I'm surprised I actually found it in this chaos. My first choice was twill but I'm out .... I guess its time to place an order. Woot!
Anyway, thanks for letting me whine. LOL
