Our swap theme for November was rockin' re-inkers. I got in my head that I would use Faith's (Markie's Mom) Ink, Spray, and Smash technique to make water/waves for this cute little ship, and use re-inkers to water-color parts of it too. I had to borrow reinkers and the stamp set from Faith to make them, but I am pleased w/ how they turned out.
Thanks Faith for your generosity and encouragement!

This is an eye catching card because of how you cropped the boat. Usually I see this boat in a square or rectangle layer...very stiff. But in this composition, you have given the viewer an illusion of movement and a window into the life on the open sea. In fact, I think I can smell the salt water and hear the cry of hungry sea birds as they dip and dive for fish. I love the greys againt the red card front. And that's not just because I'm from Ohio...thus a Buckeye. Red is my favorite color. And grey is a nice contrast. The ripped paper really adds texture and interest in your card. The ribbon bow is a touch of softness too. I just like how you added the white puff of smoke too. It makes the card look more dimensional as the steam stretches away from the smoke stack. The sentiment is well placed and straight...it is so annoying when sentiments get stamped crooked! Over all, a great card with lots to look at! Thanks for sharing...I mean that...sincerely!
