There's nothing like the last minute for my July christmas cards (CCC07=to make 10 cards a month).
I was struggling on how to use this scrapbook paper I got at Michaels, until Jami gave the last "Dare to get Dirty" challenge for Fan club members, to use black to pop up your images. Viola! Thanks Jami!
The main panel is just the paper with sponged artichoke around edges, as well as the circle was punched out of the DP with 3/4" punch. I used a 1" punch for the black layer, and also layered the main panel in black.
I used black ribbon on several of the cards, but my circle image didn't appear to stand out at all, so I used this moss green looped ribbon instead and liked the result much better. It is from Michaels $1 ribbon bin, 3/4" wide w/loops and looks a mellow moss color.
The sentiment "be merry" is in a clear stamp set called ribbon words from www.cdstamps.com (Clear Dollar Stamps). The Holly/berry stamp next to the sentiment is also from CDS in the $1 section.

What a beautiful batch of Christmas cards! You came up with a fabulous design for that pretty DP. I'm two months behind on my CCC07 cards, so thanks for the inspiration! :o) Linda
