I made this birthday card for a guy friend whoÂ’s the President of our CW Dance Club. I both tool and ink distressed this card on many layers, including the ribbon, so I think it qualifies for WAXYOÂ’s Vintage Values and Shel9999Â’s Distress Your Best challenges.
The green, rust and brown layer under the vanilla layer are from the Cosmo Cricket Wanted Collection, as is the Wanted tag (originally a tab) and the green tab on the bottom left. I added flourishes in corners of the vanilla using a Faux Ribbon stamp and distressed the vanilla layer with chalks and inks. The green tag is stamped with a Papertrey Faux Ribbon sentiment. I cut out the boots from Flair Designs Boot Scoot paper. The whole 12x12 page was filled with different individual boots. I had to use two separate pages, though, ‘cuz there was only one of each style of boot per page. I also touched up the top of the boots, since they were kind of washed out. They’re popped up, as are most items on this card.
I distressed the ribbon to dirty it up a bit and added the wanted tag, tying them all to a hodgepodge hanger. I ink distressed the Riveting sentiment, backing it with a dark brown paper from Cosmo and added a star circle that I printed using a freeware font named *Seeing Stars.*
