This is for the FS24 challenge and our inspiration artist today is Ana- aka *annieht*. Ana and I both enjoy using My Favorite Things images http://www.mftstamps.com/home/homepage.html so I picked her Fine Living card layout Fine Living by annieht at Splitcoaststampers and used the Falling for You set in place of her Sparkling Summer. Fall will be here before we know it.
I stamped the images and added a few extra falling leaves. I sketched the tree trunk but didn't want to show limbs with leaves attached. I painted the images with reinkers and watercolor brushes. I used a dry brush to apply the grassy area and then stamped over it with my minis fern stamp. I chose my colors from the color wheel and just love the brocade blue that is recommended as a complimentary color with mustard and olive. I think it life to the fall scene. I loved the girls arms and legs sticking out and decided she must have grass stains on both knees since she is working outside and falling into the leaves. I doubt you can see that little touch on the scan. I used my cuttlebut to cut leaves as embellishments. I stamped them with flannel plaid and then wiped them acorss the rust, olive and mustard ink pads to create the fall leaf look. I really wanted to do three as it isn't good to do even numbers of anything but they were just too big to add a third. I soooooooooooooo love this little set.
