This is for IC83 to do Christmas in July Forums at Splitcoaststampers. The colors were so interesting to me and so 70's. I had these colors in my dorm room in college. I stamped the images with Archival Brilliance Graphic Black and embossed with clear ep. I wanted the images to pop and in retrospect is hilarious as I almost covered them up with falling snow....grrrr! Anyway, I painted the images with watercolor brushes and reinkers. I painted the little yellow tree star way out of the lines to appear to be glowing. I sponged on turquoise in the sky and then used a large round dry brush wiped directly on the brilliant blue ink pad and lightly painted around the sky area to create a soft, darker sky. I wanted the sky to match the color scheme and yet appear as a winter's night so the star could really glow. I painted white craft ink on the ground with a brush and them embossed with winter white ep. I used seeds stamp from petal pushers to apply white craft ink for falling snow and got a little heavy handed with it over the faces of the snowmen. Darn!!!!! Oh well....I still love the look. The chipboard corner frames were colored with brilliant blue and white craft ink and then I applied versa and clear ep to finish. I am doing a technique club tomorrow using chipboard and wants lots of good examples of how to use the product. I applied falling snow on the bg brilliant blue layer with white craft and embossed with white ep. I wanted the snow theme to follow from front to back. I really wanted to use either my green galore or brilliant blue gingham ribbon on this but felt one more thing would be way tooooooooooooooo much! Very fun card and great challenge, Karen!

Quite the snowstorm you have going on Kittie. Are you sure you don't live in Michigan? Maybe it's just wishful thinking with you being a Southern gal and all. Your card is beautiful and I love the photo corners. I love your signature gingham, but it would probably be over kill here.
