Here is a sample of one of the ornaments that I have been working on...they are so much fun
Updated with directions:
This is just a sheet of acetate rolled up and stuck inside. I got the colors so bright by stamping the image with staz on on the front, flipping it over coloring the colors with sharpies...then heat set it. Then I take my aquapainter with my white craft ink and color the entire back side of the image, and the sprinkle on white embossing powder...and heat set it. That is all there is too it.

Very cute! Is the acetate cut into a circle? This is probably a silly question but I am new and have never made one before. Thanks for sharing any tips you have for making these adorable ornaments.

thank you so much for the adorable idea! I've been playing with ornaments, and until now - I was desperately trying to stamp the outside (hey - I got ONE done!). When you roll up the acetate, doesn't it still show through the ball? I'm having a workshop this weekend, already bought the ornaments for the group, and really want to introduce this technique. ANY other information you can provide for my slow mind would be great. I have the acetate - I just need a little more guidance on inserting it and how big to make it and you said something about leaving a lip - so it doesn't fall down? Thanks!

This is adorable! I've bought some of these ornaments but haven't tried embellishing them yet. Yours is making me think about pulling them out of my stash and trying them even though it's April and nearly 80 outside!
