This design was inspired by some beautiful, glittery patterned paper I'd seen at CHA.
I wanted to try texturizing the bark layer, so I ran it through with my Big Shot--I think the effect is nicely subtle--it's not as bulky as the Cuttlebug Embossing Folders? I like those, too, but sometimes, you want something that isn't quite so pronounced, UKWIM?
The stamping is pretty straight forward, one color ink, right onto colored paper, and then punched out or cut out with the Coluzzle. Easy, cheesey, lemon squeezey! (wink!)
Ran the ric rac stems through my Xyron "X" and layed them down in varying heights, and 3D mounted the Daisy Spots. I did have to use my Adhesive eraser to remove any excess sticky residue along the edges of the ric rac. And, then I embellished the centers with A Muse's Twinkle Stickers, and used one of Heidi Swapp's larger celery green ones, for a bit o' bling!
I originally cut the slider from blank coaster material and then tinted it with a pink chalk ink pad, but it was too much/too intense. So, I tried again with just some scrap Moss Xyroned to the coaster and then cut it. I liked that much better.
