The stripes in the book made me remember I wanted to try the rubberband-on-the-brayer thing, so that's what I did for the challenge. The kitty was just too cute to not use!

This is waaaaaay cute! I'm working on a kitty cat one for this inspiration challenge too. Where can I find directions for the rubber band brayer technique. I've heard of it before, but don't know how you got all of the different colors.

I know I've seen the technique somewhere, too, but I cannot tell you where. You have to use an acrylic attachment for the brayer - even the hard rubber one will be a bit too soft and 'brayer' itself when all you want is the rubber bands to hit the paper.
I used one Whole-Foods-size rubber band wrapped three times around the acrylic attachment. Snap the attachment into place and run the brayer through color #1, then ink your card. Re-ink and repeat until you have enough lines of that color.
Snap out the attachment and put on another one (or take off the rubber band, wipe the arylic clean, then put on a new rubber band.) Ink in color #2, then ink your card.
Repeat for as many colors as you want. I used 4 colors for this card.
