I'm excited tonight because tomorrow I'm going to get to meet Charleen -LilLuvsStampin. She's here with her family on vacation and is coming over to my work tomorrow to have lunch with me. On Wednesday night she is coming over to my house and we are going to have a paint fest and play with scene painting. She loved a Christmas Bow Wow card I did this past winter and I sent it to her so I thought I would paint one in a summer scene for her as an example for our painting session. I feel so special that Charlene is taking time from her vacation to meet me. SCS is such a wonderful community.
I stamped and masked the dog and house with Brown Stazon. I used my brown artist pen to sketch out my tree. I painted the dog, house and tree with watercolor brushes and reinkers. I used my trusty little Watercolor Mini fern stamp (I ordered another WCM this week as my stamp is really getting worn out) to create the leaves. I sponged old olive and brown around on the ground and then used the fern stamp to add texture. I love the I love My Dog that came with the set but it is too big to use on this. So I made a small version of it with my Karen Foster snap stamp alphas. I wanted to have a little sign hanging on from a tree limb. I am in love with little dog for some reason.

What an adorable card. I haven't done any scenes lately. I've got to get back at it. I am so glad you are going to meet
Charleen. Lucky for you & lucky for her to get to come stamp with you. I would love to be so lucky. You never know, I might appear at your door sometime. I was so lucky this summer to meet so many of our fellow stampers. I consider all of you my friends.

Okay, can I please be Charlene? I am very jealous but to be honest it could not happen to a nicer person than Charlene. I hope you two have a wonderful time together and enjoy each other's company. The fact that Charlene will pick up some tips from "the snow queen and artist" is such a bonus for her. Have fun you two...I will be thinking of you both, green with envy!

Charlene is the lucky one - a private lesson with you - if I could afford it, I'd take a week's vacation to spend with you! Not just for the lesson, but just to meet you and spend time with you - hope you two had a wonderful meeting!
