I just found what to do for my gift stamp camp. I never thought of using the agua painter -- I was worried it would make the paper too wet.
Thanks for sharing how to keep the cost down too. Great job!!

I am making these cubes too. Finished the first set of them. Wanted to order more from stamponthis and they are not taking orders for them right now--unable to fill requests. I like the idea about Kinko's--may give them a call.
I called KINKOS and it costs 1.50 per cut and .75 for the glue on one side.
If you are doing a quantity of memo cubes for a stamp camp or Christmas gifts it will be worth it in price. HOwever, Does regular copy paper have the same stampability as the paper used by stampin' up? Does anyone know the answer to this?

When I made mine I used regular all-purpose copy paper and it worked great. I made mine 3x3x3 inches. I would check how they cut them though because you have three cut sides and only one of those cuts would be shared with another pad if you are using 8 1/2 x 11 paper. I put three coats of glue on mine since they are handled a lot. Just a suggestion that you be sure they know they are being handled so they don't come apart easily ... just my two cents!

I love this stamp set and it looks beautiful with the aqua painter! I also have been trying to find memo cubes and both my Staples and Kinkos said that it would be more than $5 a cube, so I am trying to find cheaper ways to make them. What is "padding" glue and where can I purchase it?

Padding glue is a special glue that becomes rubbery when it dries to hold the pads together. It usually comes in red or white (the white dries kind of clear). You can find it at most paper supply places. You would also need an industrial cutter and something to hold the paper very tight while it is being glued. Hope this helps.
