Dad died in 1990, suddenly, only 66; brother Bill died in 2016, suddenly, only 54; Mom died in 2016, from Alzheimer's and other complications. 1990 wasn't joyful, neither was 2016. But most of my memories are joyful.
Dad, always supportive and encouraging with our music. He was also an artist and I've often wished I could share with him my new-found love of creating.
Bill, a character, a law unto himself. He was very creative, made Jumping Jack toys, wood puzzles, loved classic horror films, could do voices and knew lines from many movies. He was Mom's caretaker. I miss talking to him; he was very interesting person.
Mom, a coffee lover (as a child, she would drain the cups of the adults at the dinner table) but she switched to tea. We had a built in banquette in the kitchen, she'd sit on the bench with the radiator underneath and we'd have tea together. After some very difficult times, she passed in hospice, very peaceful and not in pain. That was joyful. It is rather strange to visit the cemetery, the three of them in a row, all with November birthdays. November was a very expensive month.
Zentangle gives me lots of joy so I had to include it. I have never been able to draw very well but for whatever reason, I've taken to artful doodling. The bottom is a tangle called ragz and it makes me think of my Mom. She could make anything out of anything; my favorite thing she ever made me was a gypsy costume out of flour sacking, dyed red. I wish I had it still. The basic background of the card is a tea dyed background with a stencil. I think Polly had a tea challenge not too long ago and I made a bunch of backgrounds.
I would say that, despite them not being on earth any longer, I have a lot of joy in being related to them. Such creative people.
This is also for today's F4A-5 dots. I know my vegetation on the bottom has lots of dots but I did put 5 dots of Scrapbook.com pops of color around the sentiment. Thanks for the challenges!

Your sentiment is so wonderful and is so perfect for your memories of the times you enjoyed tea with your Mom. Love your beautifully designed card!
