Mary is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us some beautiful and warm colors to work with: Petal Pink, Berry Burst and Daffodil Delight. The dessert option is to add your favorite green. No dessert for me this week!
I'm a bobbin lacemaker, and the mascot for bobbin lacemakers is the hedgehog. (It's because we always have pins sticking up from our work.) So you know I had to have this adorable set, which consists of a rubber stamp for the eyes, noses and spines, and three stencils for the different colors of the bodies. I substituted Distress Oxides for the challenge colors. I love the greeting on this card, and can't wait to send it to a fellow lacemaker!
For my layout, although it pained me to do so, I chopped off a portion of the design panel to make room for the greeting. I fussy cut one of the "leftover" hedgehogs to decorate the lower part of the card. Stamped the greeting, added a thin scalloped strip, and a few enamel dots, and it was done. Mounted on a white card base.
Please come and join us in the Color Challenge this week. Feel free to add some green and make a pretty spring card! See you in the gallery!
