This week the Tea Potters are sending smiles and encouragement to Maggie who recently suffered a stroke. Maggie is proud of her Irish heritage and she loved watching the birds in her yard.
When I think of birds that make me smile, I immediately think of Gladys. And, when I mentioned to Gladys that Maggie was quite proud of her Irish roots, Gladys immediately jumped into a vat of green and dyed hers. Then she donned her favorite shamrock hat and festooned her place with heart banners in a rainbow of greens. I added the sentiment which was computer generated using Cutie Pie font.
Gladys' hat was die cut in green to match her torso. The shamrock was stamped and fussy cut and tucked under a tiny gold band. Unfortunately because she is wearing it towards the back, it's a bit difficult to make out and the gold band pretty much disappears. But don't tell Gladys -- she thinks she looks quite stylish.
Our hostess Jen asked us to be inspired by a specific Irish Prayer. I was inspired by the line: "for every tear, a smile". I hope that Gladys will do the trick. Hope you find things to make you smile today too. TFL
