Mary is our hostess and has chosen the bold colors: Real Red, Gorgeous Grape and Garden Green. Dessert is "anything goes". My anything goes is using an embossing folder.
I tried a few approaches to this one and decided I liked this with more purple and just a bit of red the best. Since I didn't have two of the colors in Blends/alcohol markers, I opted to use watercolor pencils. I took a shortcut to get my blended grape background and started with Highland Heather to save my wrist a bit.
Thanks so much for taking a peek. I hope you can join in the play this week!

Chris, the hummingbird featured on this card is so pretty and beautifully colored with this week’s palette. I love that you started with Highland Heather card stock, because I think I can see a little variation in color in the background, which really adds to the charm of this card!

Your hummingbird is so pretty! I have hummingbirds who come to the feeder at my lake house in the summer. Their coloring is deceiving because to have to see them at just the right angle to see the lovely Irridescent green in their plumage.
