Goodness gracious, Denise! What a feast for the eyes 'The Daydreamerie' was for me. Near 'bout every click had me wishing I had those beautiful watercoloring skills. The tree strung with Mason jars just speaks to me.
I had been asked to create a sympathy card for friends who recently lost their dog. We all know how animals tug on our heart strings...but words frequently seem inadequate. And so I began with the sentiment.
our animal friends
give unlimited love
and touch our hearts
in many ways.
The words unlimited and hearts reminded me of the Tim Holtz 'Falling Hearts'. I just adore the irregular shapes. I used scraps from a mixed media project to create what seemed unlimited hearts! The tree is from Wendy Vecchi's Card Art Sentiments set as well. I fussy cut into the leaves and open spaces. The beautiful landscape was all made as my background in scrapbook paper. I just had to adorn the tree, branches, and ground with hearts. The sentiment is nestled between two hedges.
Thanks for having a look. I so appreciate the gift of your comments.

Oh, so glad I saw this beautiful card. I love the falling hearts and the wonderful sentiment. My doggie is long gone but I still miss him.

How completely fabulous this is, Susan! I love hearts and this has such a wonderful profusion of them! From the thumbnail, it reminded me of a church we visited on Remembrance Day! Over 5,000 knitted and crocheted poppies, I believe, from all over the world, we’re fastened onto netting and spilled from the tower to the ground and looked so much like your design, it just beckoned for me to come in and peek.

This is such a warming card Susan. I love the falling hearts curving under the tree. The gorgeous subdued colours of the background really let the hearts shine. I have an elderly dog and this really touched me.

This is so beautiful and so touching. Those cascading hearts created from a swirly red paper create such fluid movement. All that love between the dog and their humans flowing together. Wow....
