Did you hear a large 'whump' yesterday, emanating from Wisconsin? That was our leaves all falling en-mass. So glad I hiked last weekend.
This is what inspired me today: https://www.athome.com/merrifield-ja...ml?nav=top_nav
I chose this pillow because I like it and because I wanted to do fall colors for yesterday's MIX. I was also inspired by Rebekah's gorgeous Falliday technique card where she used fall colored alcohol ink but made Christmas baubles.
I combined some Brushos and KO powders on the background. Usually when I use powders, I overdo with the them and create one solid mess of color. So I tried to be intentional about not making a mess, leaving a little white space. I used fall color but this is a Christmas card, using a new die for me, cut four times and layered. The sentiment was cut from a handmade card received long ago, I've probably used part of it before but the handmade calligraphy sentiment was a leftover. I sponged some of the gold ink on top to get rid of the white paper and also used a stencil with some of that reinker to sponge some squares and rectangles like the pillow has. Not sure if it needs a little more 'sparkle'...lmk in the comments. I thought about doodling around the crumb cake border, just dots or something of that sort.
Thanks, Amy and Anna, for the challenges!
