I embossed the outer frame with wood grain folder, the inner portion I adhered a fabric to cardstock, painted it cream and then ran inks across the top to distress. Then I added a stencil and used modeling clay. After that dried, I replaced the stencil and colored using coordinating colorsâ¦really rust and mossy meadow. To end with I spritzed on bronze di spray. The gladiolus were cut from some flowers and I tried to make them as close to glads as possible.

Wow, Laura, this is a fabulous slimline card! The flowers look beautiful in the vase and sit on an incredible mixed media bg, also love the embossed bg! Fav’d!

Laura, your photo is lovely but my goodness it doesn't do this beautiful piece of art justice!!! This is truly, TRULY breathtaking in person and I am SO honored to have it sitting displayed on my desk, warming my heart every time I look up from my pile of work and see it!
