Our Teaparty this week is to create Patriotic Congratulations cards for Laura, wife of Brian (ZPAW Now), who has had an amazing Army career and was recently promoted to Colonel. Wow! Brian mentions creating a card to show Laura "what she is protecting," by her service to America, so I have added a farmhouse and windmill to represent America's Heartland. Inside includes ". . . thank-you from the Heart-land."
The two-step American flag is an old wood-mount stamp, so I got out my trusty Stamp-A-Ma Jig to line up the repeated images to create the flag-filled sky. I stamped off each time before putting stamp to paper. Sponged the edges with Bordering Blue, added the panel to Night Of Navy and then to Cherry Cobbler CS. Adhered to card front.
Stamped the farmhouse and windmill in Versamark on the GKD white CS, heat embossed with the Bold Black EP, and fussy cut them out. Colored the windows and door of the farmhouse with colored pencils.
Chose the PP to represent farm fields (the green PP has little squares!). Used the dies to cut each paper into a hill. Stamped the greeting onto the bottom hill with Versamark, and heat-embossed with the Bold Black EP. Added the two star brads. Sponged the edges with Mellow Moss (green PP) and More Mustard (others). Layered them onto the flag panel. Added the farmhouse and windmill popped up with foam tape.
I hope Laura will like this, and will know that the greetings are truly heart-felt. TFL!

Such a fabulous way to use that great classic stamp from SU. So very creative!
