This week the Tea Potters are sending butterfly hugs to Hildie who could use a bit of support and encouragement. Our hostess, Jen, also asked us to use vellum.
I immediately knew I wanted an AI bg and found the dark green inks with the golds in my stash. Perfect, I thought. But then I created a garden of white embossed flowers on velum trying to figure it out and finally decided on the SSS stamp. Added the butterfly in yellow glitter paper and the small hugs die cuts.
Hmmm, but is this too dark for the occasion? So I pulled out another AI bg from my stash. The lighter blue feels airier and happier. Used up some of the extra flowers and the hug that didn't work for the first card. Added the smaller butterflies die cut from white glitter paper.
Now, I can't decide which card to send. I love the deep, rich tones of the greens and green is a healing color; but I also love the lighter brighter feel of the blues. What a wimp. Please, help me choose. TFL and thanks for voting.
EDIT: Voting is now closed as I had to get my card into the mail. At the time, it was literally neck and neck. When I mentioned to my hubby I would send one of these cards to a dear friend battling cancer, he reminded me that she is a BIG Baylor fan and their colors are green and gold. So green is headed to Waco, TX and the blue to Hildie. I hope they both feel the hugs. And thanks again everyone for your votes.

Oh Debbie, both are gorgeous! I just love alcohol inks, the vibrancy and interest they produce, and yours are exceptionally pretty! (I’d probably be tempted to keep them both lol.). And the white against the colors is stunning.

These are both amazingly beautiful! There's nothing quite like alcohol ink backgrounds. The flowers embossed on vellum are a perfect overlay. The ladies receiving them will love them!
