It's time to tickle a Teapotter and this month Linda (Bubbles) is our hostess. She challenged us embellish our cards with gems just because.
As usual, I've made two cards. One will got to a Teapotter and the other will go to Diane (Glamour). This is my August card for the Monthly Image Swap group. I was in charge of the August image and I sent out the images from The Cat's Pajamas Hugs Needed stamp set. I thought it was a good balance of still almost summer, but getting ready to be fall. You can click on the SSMISAUG keyword to see which image everyone else used and how their cards came out. Spoiler alert--everyone chose the cute bear, so I had to be different and use the girl.
Ally's sketch was a fun way to make a background for this card. It kept evolving actually. I started off by masking the grid with washi tape. Then I was going to sponge with Distress Oxides, but I decided to use my brayer and a Kaleidacolor ink pad. It needed a little something more so I stamped the Posy background over it. Since my Big Shot is not working properly, I didn't die cut the background and just decided to edge it with black Sharpie. I also couldn't die cut the focal image panel. This is killing me. So I popped that up, added Stickles, and the required gems. But it still needed something, so I went back with black pen and added some lines to give the background a buffalo check pattern.

Your brayered rainbow plaids call my name and I love how the gems you added seem to have captured the same iridescent reds, blues and golden greens. You are truly a gem for all your dedication to the teapotters.

Wow. Beautiful. I absolutely love your background. The added stamping on it really makes it. Sorry about your Big Shot! Mine has just started making noises and I'm a bit concerned because I only just got the metal cutting plate, and if the Big Shot goes, it says not to use the plate in the Plus. Yikes...I hope you get a new one quickly.
