This is for the Color Challenge. Our hostess is Chris and she selected Crushed Curry, Poppy Parade, Pool Party and dots for dessert. This fabulous combo said flower to me, but what to do about the leaves? I thought since Pool Party is a blue green perhaps it could work. After inking the stem & leaves stamp in Pool Party, I rolled the edges in Mossy Meadow (approved neutral) to give more credence to the color as leaves.
The two-steps for the bloom were stamped in Poppy Parade. The base layer was stamped off first and the detail layer was stamped in full ink. The center was stamped in Crushed Curry. The flower parts were die-cut. For the dessert option, I used a large polka-dot embossing folder in the background and a gold dot on the sentiment strip. The flower rests on a die-cut circle of Crushed Curry DSP with a strip of sparkly Pool Party ribbon underneath.
Terrific colors to work with. Thanks, Chris. I look forward to seeing all the creativity this week. Have fun. TFL
