Why did my watercoloring spread so much outside the tape? Was it the tape I used or the watercolor paper or did I use too much water? I used clear repositionable tape and pressed it down firmly on the paper for a good seal. When I peeled the tape off, the watercoloring had spread past the tape edges on the paper AND the tape left a sticky residue on my watercolor paper. Ugh.
Instead of watercolors, I used 3 watered-down Distress Inks (blue, green, and pink) for my watercolor washes. I splattered the rectangles with ground espresso Distress Oxide Ink. Instead of doodling, I stamped 2 wildflower silhouettes along with the sentiment. TFL and for the advice!

I love this! I know you mentioned that the water went beneath your tape but I think the look is fabulous! I like the feathered edges where the water met dry paper. Your colors are gorgeous! I didn't know that those wildflowers came in a stamp! I used the dies for one of my cards. They look fabulous!
