This week we are sending paper hugs to Sharon, a friend of Ashley (aka amacy0411) and Faith (aka PeonySnail). Sharon, who is recovering from multiple surgeries, loves cats. I bought this set of cat dies because Faith made so many cute cards with it I finally couldn't resist. I thought that fitting for her friend. I also used this great card by Faith as my inspiration: Trick or Treat Cats by PeonySnail at Splitcoaststampers
I really liked the way Faith ink blended the cats in the different colors, so that was my starting point. I ink blended small patches of random colors on white cs and then die cut the cat set multiple times. I had initially wanted a lighter more Springlike bg, but the cats just disappeared so I pulled out this dark green for the bg. Since I wanted the kittens to be playing in nature, I stamped two green panels with my favorite leaf bg. I used my Misti so the two panels would align after I die cut one of them with the stripe die. Then I "dotted" the scene with kittens and butterflies and glued everything down. The white bg on the die cut sentiment is stacked three times.
Sharon's recovery is painful and requires a lot of therapy and rehab. I hope the many cards she receives this week will encourage her to keep moving forward. And I hope and pray that she will be better able to enjoy her passions when she is fully recovered. I hope you are enjoying your passions today as well. TFS

What a sweet card, Debbie. I love all of your rainbow kitties dancing around and playing with those butterflies and wow on how you achieved the stripe challenge. Thanks for sharing how you did that. Genius! Of course, the hugs is a perfect one for Sharon. Wonderful card and wonderfully done!
