This week's tutorial for water coloring uses masking tape and a faux credit card to create Birch trees. I did end up using a brush for the detailing on my trees as they were it just seemed easier to me to do that as I have brushes out on the table pretty much all the time now, so digging for a card didn't enter my brain until later after I had already started doing the detailing with a brush oops. You can see a few mug shots of this painting as it progressed here on the blog. Thanks for this challenge Brenda & tfl I had painted this on Saturday after I had goofed my first card for Lisa's VSN challenge and I deliberately found a black card base so this could be a two-fer card.

This makes me think of the kind of painting one might see hanging in a corporate office of some big conglomeration. Clean & simple yet quite compelling so that you want to just sit and gaze at it as you contemplate life!

Stacy, you rocked this one. Love your edging and your limbs. Now I want to do another one and try what you did. Great inspiration! Hugz
