Tomorrow is my Mom's 91st birthday so it was back into the Rubber Room to create the next January birthday card. Decided while I was at it I should make two since there was already stuff everywhere.
I often stamp a whole sheet of little images like this and watercolour them as time allows. (Yes, this is a very old SU set but I like it as much now as when I first got it.) I chose one of the summery images from the set to make these cards.
Everyone needs a little shot of summer by mid-January. To attest to that, here's a bit of trivia for you - my son (whose birthday is next week) recently informed me that "Blue Monday" is the name given to the third Monday in January and has been coined as the most depressing day of the year. Thankfully his birthday only lands on "Blue Monday" every five or so years. Whew! I told him I didn't pick his birthday, he did. He was due much earlier in the month and could have completely avoided ever having his birthday on "Blue Monday" if he hadn't waited so long to arrive. But I digress...
Back to these cards... Dry embossed the white layers. Cut four different sizes of circles that pulled colours from the image. Stamped and die-cut the sentiments. Layered 'em up and it's a done deal. And now I've got one for Mom and one for the box at the church. Good deal.

Another chuckle about your son not waiting for his expected due date. So, that's what he gets. I didn't know until a week or so ago about that being the most depressing day of the year. I learned it from Karen Dunbrook.
Your cards are so sweet with those froggies and flowers. I love your embossing, also.
