Itâs my pleasure to host the Inspiration Challenge (IC835) this week & weâre visiting Touch of Class & their Pinterest Board. THIS is the picture that inspired my card.
My southwest Christmas card is pretty easy to make. I die cut the sun out of pale yellow, the sandy hills out of tan, the mountains out of brown & the cactus out of a couple of shades of green. I sponged the edges to give them some depth then added the tiny Christmas lights to a couple of the cactus & used a gold gel pen to connect them. All of the scenery is attached to a pale grey bg.
Thanks so much for looking. It's on my blog w/ more pics & links: The Write Stuff

Julie, great site today, thanks. I love the cacti with lights and I can just picture them looking just like this in my friend's yard!! Beautiful sun and scene. Love this.

Beautiful re-creation of your inspiration piece! I am missing the saguaros as we aren't able to head to Arizona this winter (or last year either) so it's fun to see yours all lit up.
