SC868 = I moved the sentiment to the bottom for better balance and did not put it on a separate piece of CS. For the circular side border, I use a die cut that had a circular feeling and tied in with the painted scene.
WC065 = Pen/ink/watercolor video on creating a lighthouse scene. See Stacy's link to the video here.
After watercoloring the basics of the lighthouse scene, I came back in with pen/ink for finer details and extra shading.

Lovely die cut to go with the seascape, Sallie!

SO pretty Sallie. Wonderful work on the lighthouse scene. Your work is just amazing. I love what you do.
Now if the lighthouse was a light brown, it would look like the Fairport Harbor Light!!!

I love that your lighthouse is right where it needs to be - on a hilly outcropping where it can be of most benefit and you did a fabulous job setting it onto that rocky tor. The shadowing on your buildings is wonderful and you instinctively knew exactly how to use that black ink to it's fullest advantage.

Sallie, you created a gorgeous scene! I love the warm colors. I like the bit of choppiness you added to the water. You framed this beautifully for the sketch.

Fantastic card!!! The ocean waves on the edge is perfect and creates all kind of motion and makes the card "come alive"! Also, your painting is wonderful.
