Oh, I can mottle watercolor. Thank you very much. It was freeing to do it on purpose. I chose to combine this WCW challenge with today's sketch by drawing out stripes on my watercolor paper and painting a rainbow background for a dog sympathy card that I needed. And I used my Spectrum Aqua markers for it even though Lydia told me not to in the video. I do what I want. First I colored the big red stripe and then covered it with water and mottled in some orange. Then I skipped to the green stripe and mottled in some yellow and skipped to the purple and mottled in some blue. Set it aside and let it dry and then painted the golden orange stripe and mottled in yellow and the blue with green mottled in. After it all dried, I splattered it with water. I really like how this background came out for my favorite pet sympathy image and sentiment.

I love the symbolism of the rainbow (i.e. The Rainbow Bridge) for a pet sympathy card. It's perfect for this occasion as is the image and sentiment. That sentiment would be perfect for any type sympathy card, I think. Beautifully crafted.
