Making this tickler card has brought me down memory lane. My grandfather was a farmer and I recall, as a young child, walking with him through the vast field of sunflowers, taller than him, as he inspected the crops. He warned me not to go beyond his sight as one could quickly get lost in the tall dense flowers. I remember the stern scolding I received when I wandered off causing panic when I didn't respond to his calls.
Mostly my grandfather planted and harvested potatoes and at harvest time he would load burlap sacks full of potatoes for us, enough to last through the winter.
The buffalo plaid jacket is a nod to my father-in-law who is dealing with advancing stages of dementia but who still loves to wear his buffalo plaid.
This will go out to a fellow teapotter. Hope this brings a smile to one of our own.
