This week's FFA challenge is brought to us by Shirley (wannabcre8tive). Shirley is asking for Fall themed cards and I decided to go with leaves. I wanted to do this card after seeing k dunbrook use this technique here: IC770, Ways to Live by k dunbrook at Splitcoaststampers
Outside, I grabbed a leaf off an Oak Leaf Hydrangea, swiped Distress Ink on the vein side of the leaf and pressed to my cardstock. Let dry. I added a little more color using same inks to make it a little darker in spots. Then, added some sponging over stencils and empty areas to fill in the rest of the card. Sentiment was stamped. Fun!!!

Brenda this is so pretty. Love what you did with the oxides, leaf and stencils. Using your own needlework canvas-well I can tell you had fun with this!

Beautiful result, Brenda! I love it and adore how you combined the bright fall color into it.
(The house did smell good with the baking pumpkin delights, until I didn't have enough batter to fill all slots on the final sheet in the oven and some of the excess grease started to burn while the filled ones baked! I was distracted by the cardmaking, I swear! LOL)

Gorgeous card! I just got back from up north and the bush is aflame with colours like these! The sentiment is one of the nicest Thanksgiving ones I've seen. Beautiful!
