This card is for the Alpha challenge K = Kangaroo and Koala and Kkkkk....Cockatoo. It is also for the Try a new technique challenge.
I like trying new techniques and when I saw this weekâs I knew I had to give it a go. Out came the gladwrap....otherwise know as sandwich wrap.....crinkled it up and dabbed ink on it and simply plonked it on my CS as though it were a stamp. It gives a cool look.
I had previously made another panel using different colours and using this technique, however with this panel I decided to give Jeanâs alternative technique a go and plonked my ink on my mat, sprinkled water and then dabbed my CS. The yellow is the effect. When I went to get my second colour, Iâd forgotten about the mat bit and had reverted to my other method going straight from the ink to the gladwrap. This method gives more texture but I like both results.
As I had to make a card for the Alpha challenge and had decided on my Aussie die cut, I went with the yellow and blue panel. I trimmed it down slightly and ended up with some scraps, one of which was added to the bottom of the panel.
Wink of Stella added on the die cut after heat embossing the sentiment.
TFL. Happy day

What a super-fun die and cool background. Glad is one of the brands here, in fact it's the one I want to try with the felted napkin technique because I know the other one I usually buy doesn't work.

Wow Jayne! Your crinkle background is just fantastic and showcases this fabulous Aussie die cut perfectly. Love your Kangaroo and Koala bear for the letter K challenge. How fun! ~Karen.
