Anita aka Snietje has given us a fun challenge this week for Teaparty recipient Lori in Canada. Instead of holidaying in Mexico, Lori is sadly battling breast cancer.
Snietje gave us two beautiful pictures to take our inspiration from. Extra cookies for using a shell on your card. Clearly I won't be getting extra cookies!
Before the lockdown, I swapped a box of dies with a girlfriend, so I have been very busy diecutting anything not bolted down, before I have to return them.
I die cut heaps of dodgy mixed media scraps. As stand alone pieces they aren't any good, but once die cut, the weirdest scrap takes on a whole new look.
The background was an experiment to see what alcohol ink does over the top of acrylic paint and gesso...long story short, I won't be doing that again, but it did make for a great background for these bright houses.
Thank you for looking and stay safe.

This is SO PRETTY Susie, with the colors you've used! AND LUCKY YOU to have a friend to swap dies with! LOVE this little village you've created!!! AND BRAVO for you, that you "experimented" with the alcohol inks. I need to get braver & do experiment more often!!! I KNOW your card will be LOVED!!!! ;)<3

Susie, I regret I missed this stunning beauty when it came through the gallery, but I sure am happy to be seeing it now in all of it's glory! I am SO IMPRESSED with this gorgeous beachside scene you have created with these colorful houses, and amazing ocean. What a lovely sentiment to use here too. Lori is going to adore this card!! ~Karen.
