I am coming late to last week's Teaparty, but I just had to play because the recipient is near and dear to my heart. My father suffered with Parkinsons for 22 years and I know how this affected my mother's health too.
Anita is our hostess and the theme for the Teapart is, "use only 3" which means we are supposed to use 3 things on our cards. My 3 things are stamping, die cutting and embossing with an embossing folder.
I am going through my bone pile little by little for a few minutes each day sorting it out, and this is how I found all the items to make this card with (except for the card base and I had to stamp the sentiment). What a nice way to make a card and use up bone pile items at the same time.
I am also entering this card into the Alphabet challenge for the letter V for violet.
My heart truly goes out to Dorothy these days. I hope she is feeling all the paper love and hugs that are being sent her way.
Thank you Anita and Ann for these wonderful challenges and thank you for looking today! ~Karen.

Gorgeous! Karen, this is so beautiful and how kind of you to make a card in the midst of all you are going through. Good idea to sort out the 'bone pile' during a low-energy time. Love how you pulled this card together. Love the rose and the colors! The sentiment is excellent. Wonderful card. No worries that it comes later, so does my card. It spreads out the love a little longer! Hugs, my friend.
This is wonderful and I love your colors. So neat that you could just pull this together. I did the same on the card you just commented on, actually. Love it when a plan comes together.

Gorgeous! Great job using the "bone pile" - mine is huge and you just inspired me. Thank you for the inspirational words as well. We have only been aware of the Parkinson's for about 3 years (he has had it much longer, I am sure). He is pretty stable right now but still needs a lot of assistance - especially the "gofer" type! I think it is special to have the happy mail spread out. Thanks again.
