I made this card for this week's Teapot Challenge. Jean (naturecoastcrafter) is our guest hostess and she has a wonderful challenge for us to use feathers.
I die cut the feathers, then sponged on blueprint sketch and peacock feathers distress inks using a makeup brush. I used a paint brush to add the golden glacier paste to the ends of the feathers. I added 6" wide sook wong tape to the top panel, then die cut this using a stitched rectangle die. Removed the top protective sheet from the sook wong tape, and carefully placed the feathers. Then I poured warm diamonds glitter all over the top panel and feathers to fill in the areas of exposed adhesive. I rubbed the glitter in with my finger. Added a gold heat embossed sentiment to go with the large sentiment die that is layered up a couple of times. This was a really fun card to make so thank you for this wonderful challenge Jean and thank you for looking! I hope everyone has a very safe and happy Thanksgiving this year too! ~Karen.

Oh, I just bet you are tickled (sorry a feather pun, lol) with this beauty. It makes me want to run out and buy some wider sookwang tape. Karen, this is just gorgeous!

Karen, your card is indeed fabulous!! You always surprise me with a new element when creating! I’ve never heard of Sook Wong tape, but it’s sure did the trick for your gorgeous glittered bg! And your feathers are spectacular! Wonderful design my friend!
