This is a curvy gate fold. Although most instructions tell you to cut the curve on each side of the front gate, I decided to simplify this. I first scored and folded like a simple gate fold, but then I traced my curve pattern on the inside of the center panel and cut it apart. Then I adhered the straight end panels to the back of a 4-3/16"x5-1/2" panel to form the gate fold with the curves in front. The best part of this method is you only need to cut the curve once, and you know it will match perfectly.
I made my curve pattern by folding a quarter sheet in half each way (to mark the center), and then tracing the edge of an oval die from the top to the vertical center and from the bottom to the vertical center - one on either side of the horizontal center. I hope that makes sense for you.
